let’s talk fall fashion: Last Call by Neiman Marcus
Is it just us, or does the change in the season – any season – get you really excited for the resulting wardrobe changes?
While we’re all about embracing what comes with spring and summer (bright florals, delicate lace and gauzy sundresses), we always have so much fun embracing the fall weather. Our idea of the perfect day is one with a hint of chill in the air: just enough for an artfully tied wool cape, not yet time to break out the heavy down jacket and slosh our way through snow. (Don’t come back, polar vortex!)
Fall is time to break out some of our favorite wardrobe trends. Rich jewel tones, warm wool, fur accents (faux and otherwise) – and don’t forget boots and booties! And while we’ve been working on a closet that transitions well from year to year, it’s also always fun to add a few new pieces into the rotation. But with so many great seasonal accents in stores, how can we choose wisely, and keep our wallet happy?
Enter our friends at Last Call Studio by Neiman Marcus. They’re one of our go-to spots for hot finds and great bargains, and they passed along some of their top picks this season.
First and foremost (at the top) – a snappy pea coat. Don’t feel like you need to stick to basic black! You can make a statement and keep warm in some of fall’s most beautiful tones. We’re dying to slip on this oxblood stunner for a walk through autumn leaves.
Item number two – slouchy pants. Cute and comfortable! It’s a great way to keep warm, stay stylish and be relaxed during the changing of seasons. Apple picking, anyone?
And last, but certainly not least, leather accents – faux as well! Year after year, leather accents prove to be timeless – so they’re well worth the investment.
