a holiday poem from tiny dancers

Our partners at Tiny Dancers sent us a festive – and adorable – seasonal poem! We’re happy to share it on the blog today.

camp[1]

T’was the day before Christmas and all through the house

the kiddies were restless and starting to grouse.

Santa was busy with last minute chores

while parents were frantically visiting stores.

The kids so excited and wanting to help

but the din, it grew louder when doggie would yelp.

And finally now at the end of their wits

some parents were ready to call it all quits.

Then in a flash, the idea it came

send the kids out for dancing and games.

Come Prancer and Dancer and …wait just a minute

could there be a camp with my ‘helpers’ in it?

I called Tiny Dancers and sure as could be

that great Santa Camp was something to see.

Miss Beth and Miss Jenna, Miss Jessica too

were planning the crafts for campers to do.

The music, the dancing, the hours of fun

would give Santa time to get some things done.

I dropped the kids off, excited and wired

and picked them up later, so happy and tired.

Now that they’re home and filled with good cheer,

the real joy of Christmas is having them near.
